Infrastructure Improvements        MMWC is taking a multi-pronged approach to improving the infrastructure that it inherited from the Golden Cycle Land Corporation: MMWC’s water will be chlorinated by the summer of 2012. MMWC completed a phase-in for metering of customers in 2011, enabling better conservation of water and facilitating the identification and remdiation of leaks and problem areas, analysis of usage patterns, and plans for the future. The original sch. 40 PVC, 3” pipe is being gradually replaced, in several- hundred foot stretches at a time, with stronger, higher-capacity pipe. MMWC has upgraded the majority of its distribution line extending from its Gillette well to its 250,000 gallon tank with strong, high-capacity 6” pipe. MMWC is in the planning stages of upgrading and/or replacing sections of its distribution line extending from its 250,000 gallon tank to the subdivision and to one of its centrally located tanks. MMWC is evaluating upgrades of tanks in the subdivision. MMWC has added remote monitoring and automated control of its pump and the level of water in its 250,000-gallon tank, which is producing electricity, fuel, and water savings.
